BATTY Erected by their son as a last tribute of affection and respect in loving memory of Arthur H. Batty, Esq., of Rogerstown, Ardee, who departed this life 4th Nov., 1856, aged 55 years, and of his beloved wife Elizabeth Ann Batty, who departed this life 2nd May, 1874, aged 71 years.




CARAHER AD 1795. This stone was erected by Mr. Michael Caraher of Cardistown, for himself and his posterity.

Catherine, daughter of said Michael, interred here the 3rd day of March, 1758, aged 8 years. Bridget, daughter of said Michael, died October, 1801, aged 4 years.




CARRAGHER Here lieth the body of the Revd. James Carragher who departed this life July the 28th, 1762 aged 60 years; also his nephew, the Revd. Hugh Carragher, who departed this life July the 2nd, 1767, aged 34 years. Also Philip Carragher, brother of the above James and father to the above Hugh, who departed this life the 2nd of Feby 1781, aged 84 years.




COUNSEL This stone was erected by his relatives to the memory of the late Revd. Batholomew Counsel [?] P.P., Tallanstown, who died in the year of the Lord 1802. He was a learned Priest, a pious and zealous Pastor, an earnest and diligent labourer in the Vineyard of his Divine Master.




KEANE Here lieth the body of Thomas Keane [?] who departed August ye 28, 1721, aged 21 years.




McDONNELL Erected A.D. 1820 by James McDonnell of Mandestown, in the County of Meath, in memory of his father, Alex. McDonnell, who departed this life the 15th August, 1765, aged 50 years. Also of his beloved wife, Catherine McDonnell, alias Devin, who died the 15th Sept. 1789, aged 45 years.




TAAFFE This stone and burial place belongeth to Mr. John Taaffe, of Ardee and his posterity.

Here lieth the body of Mr. John Taaffe, alte of Ardee, who departed this life the 17th day of March, 1754, in the 74th year of his age. Here leith the body of Mrs. Jane Taaffe, alias Culack, who departed this life Novr. the 23rd, 1742, aged 66 years.




YOUNG Here lieth the body of Mr. E Young, of Rathneeston, eldest son of the late Randle Young, of Nicholastown, Esq., who departed this life 10th of May, 1790, aged 52 years. Also the body of Mr. John Young, late of Nicholastown, son of the above mentioned Randle, who departed this life 24th of July, 1795, aged 55 years.
